Our short-term program is geared for those seriously investigating whether or not God wants them to serve in career missions. Short-term service gives an excellent opportunity to confirm this calling.

Short-Term – Extended Ministry Assignment

As your home church sees the hand of God leading you, they will authorize BMM to welcome you into this extended ministry assignment working on an established team. As a short-term missionary, you will become an employee of BMM, and have access to essential services of the agency. We will position you for a time of deputation ministry until sufficient support commitments are reached, lead you through the transition to your field of ministry, and facilitate the financial and ministry services you will need to be most effective. Short-term BMM missionaries are assigned for up to 1 year of service with the possibility of extending that service for up to 2 years.

Length of service: 6 months to 2 years

Short-Term – Arriba Internship

The Arriba program is a dynamic 11-month study/internship program. Formerly based in Peru, the program will move to Chile starting with the 2023–2024 academic year (https://www.bmm.org/news/james...). College professors from the United States teach courses, and students receive college credits for undergraduate work. After learning conversational Spanish, interns actively participate in missionary service. All participants are sent as short-term BMM missionaries.

For complete information, visit the Arriba website. (Note: Arriba will continue to offer the same or similar coursework and opportunities that were offered in Peru.)
