The Reward Unseen

In the early 1900s, a question loomed large: who would take the gospel to central Africa? This rugged frontier was so challenging that few dared to even explore it, let alone bring the gospel. Then a surprising candidate stepped forward, William Haas.

Like classic missionary stories of the past, William's story is one of intriguing challenge. His life was marked by consecration and by sacrifice at a level that few of us will ever be called on to make. Yet through those sacrifices, God used William to reach a completely unreached people group in what is today the Central African Republic. His efforts brought extraordinary spiritual life not only to this nation but also to the whole world as William put in motion the creation of Baptist Mid-Missions.
