From Baptist Mid-Missions’ earliest days, Scripture translation and literacy have been foundational elements in our call to share the gospel, raise disciples, and plant churches worldwide. In 1981, Baptist Mid-Missions formed its own Bible society, Bibles International, to consolidate and enhance these ministries. A new director was recently appointed to this BMM ministry team, Tim Fink. Read more in this article from Bibles International’s website:
Bibles International is very pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy L. Fink to become the new full-time director. We are very thankful for Gary Walton’s gifted and godly leadership as the interim director (while also continuing as the Stewardship and Church Relations Manager) for these past two years of transition from one director to the next. God has prospered BI throughout the past two years, and He has used Gary to prepare the way for Tim to take over as our new director on August 1.
Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Bible/Pastoral Studies and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies. He is also completing his Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling and is working on a Doctor of Intercultural Studies. He has experience in pastoral roles in Connecticut, Indiana, and Ohio; and serves on the board of directors for an overseas counselor training ministry. He also has missionary experience as a church planter in Romania and then as an itinerant teacher around the world, both ministries being under Baptist Mid-Missions. He has been with BMM since 1999, so we are thankful that he already knows the BMM family well. His wife’s name is Sandy, and they have four grown sons: Joshua, David, Nathan, and Daniel; they also have five grandchildren. Tim and Sandy are presently members at First Baptist Church in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Please pray for Tim and Sandy as they make the transition this year to this exciting and challenging new role as the head of an international Bible society.
