Advance Weekend
Published: August 9, 2018

On September 7–8, 2018, Baptist Mid-Missions will host the Advance Weekend, a free, informative two-day seminar that will equip you with tools for missions involvement.

Although the seminar is geared toward college students and young adults, anyone interested in missions service can benefit. Our keynote speaker will be Dan Seely, a Doctor of Intercultural Studies candidate who serves as a BMM missionary to Cameroon. On Friday evening and Saturday morning, Dan will address “cultural vantage points” and how they affect cross-cultural ministry.

The weekend will also connect attendees to missions opportunities and initiatives through BMM and provide answers to missions questions. We will accomplish this through informal interaction and panel-type discussions with BMM field administrators serving all regions of the globe.

We are hosting the Advance Weekend at our newly remodeled Ministry Training Center at the Baptist Mid-Missions Home Office in Cleveland, Ohio.  The seminar will start with supper on Friday evening and conclude after lunch on Saturday, with a possibility of an optional missions activity Saturday afternoon.

One of the best things about the seminar is that it’s free! We will provide housing and meals; attendees provide only transportation to Cleveland.
