Join us September 25–26, 2020, for Baptist Mid-Missions’ Advance Weekend, a free, informative two-day seminar that will equip you with tools for missions involvement. This year’s speakers will be Daniel and Heather Boyd, experienced Netherlands missionaries. They will share their passion for the importance of relationally focused biblical discipleship in missions.
Although the seminar is geared toward college students and young adults, anyone interested in missions service can benefit. This year’s theme is “Keeping It Simple: Discipleship as the DNA of Missions.” As a third-generation missionary, Daniel brings to the seminar a richly layered missions background. He and his wife, Heather, are church planters at Evangelical Baptist Church in Bergen Op Zoom, Netherlands. On Friday evening, they will relate from their own experiences how their church has expanded and strengthened through relational discipleship. Saturday morning will begin with corporate prayer followed by additional discussions on discipleship as the DNA of missions.
The weekend will also connect attendees to missions opportunities and initiatives through BMM and will provide answers to missions questions. We will accomplish this through informal interaction and panel-type discussions with BMM field administrators serving all regions of the globe.
We are hosting Advance Weekend at our Ministry Training Center at the Baptist Mid-Missions Home Office in Cleveland, Ohio. The seminar will start with dinner on Friday evening and conclude after lunch on Saturday.
One of the best things about the seminar is that it’s free! We will provide housing and meals; attendees provide only transportation to Cleveland.
