Terri and I have served Christ together since our marriage in 1986. After 20 years of ministry in seminary and pastoral service, we learned of the needs at Bibles International that aligned with our own ministry gifts. We each sensed the Lord’s urging to join Baptist Mid-Missions and Bibles International in the ministry of providing God’s word in the heart languages of the world.

Since 45% of all known languages lack any portion of God’s word translated into their mother tongues, the need became clear. We traveled to Ghana in November of 2020, where we found our hearts knit with the people living in the upper northwest region. When we returned to the US, we moved to Grand Rapids, MI where Terri now serves at the home office as an administrative assistant for the Department of Text Development, and I serve primarily as the main consultant for both the Dagaare OT translation and the Waalii Bible Revision. While much of my ministry can be accomplished online, the language workshops require intensive focus and face-to-face interaction for extended periods, so I regularly travel to Ghana twice per year, spending about 5 to 6 weeks at each visit.
