We have been serving in Northeast Brazil with our three boys since July 2015. Our burden is to plant churches and develop leaders in this least-evangelized region of Brazil. Both of us were raised in Christian homes. I, Daniel, was saved at the age of 13 and Sarah at the age of 6. During our teenage years we each felt God’s call to missions. I was drawn to Northeast Brazil through several mission trips during my teen and college years. We enjoy the relational Brazilian culture which opens many doors for evangelism and discipleship. Our church plant in Cajazeiras, Paraíba, began in July 2018, and God has blessed the church with four committed families and numerous opportunities to work with children, youth, and college students. We are privileged to help train Brazilian pastors and leaders through Bible training centers which equip churches to train pastors and leaders within their own ministry. This program has even opened the door for travel to Mozambique to train pastors and leaders there. Though the challenges are many, we are encouraged to see the light of the gospel continue to spread in our region and around the world.
