I grew up in a Christian home. It wasn’t until the age of 13, however, that I came to understand my personal need for salvation. I called out to God to save me through His Son Jesus, and that next morning I had complete peace. I got baptized during my first semester of Bible college after searching the Scriptures for understanding.

For my last semester of college, I traveled to England for missions work. During that time, I had the opportunity to travel to the Netherlands a couple of times. God began to burden my heart for the Dutch people, seeing them searching and longing for the truth of the gospel but not receiving it in their churches. Throughout high school and college, God was also growing in me a burden to reach Deaf people. They are tremendously overlooked. Out of an estimated 70 million Deaf people worldwide, 98% of them do not know Jesus as their Savior. My prayer is that I can be a tool that God uses to show Himself to the Dutch people, both hearing and Deaf, as I partner with the Boyd family and their church plant in Bergen op Zoom.
