David and Ruth K

In July 2005, David and Ruth Kimmel surrendered their lives to full-time missions during a BMM conference held at their church, Tri-County Baptist, in West Chester, Ohio. God led them to Romania, in part, because of a mission trip David took to Belarus in 2004. During that trip, God opened his eyes to the spiritual needs of the former communist countries of Eastern Europe. They were appointed by BMM in 2006 and completed deputation three years later. The Kimmels moved to Romania in 2009 to join the BMM church planting team working among the Roma (Gypsy) people, where they served for nearly 15 years.

In August of 2024, the Lord led the David and Ruth to join Bibles International, the Bible Society of Baptist Mid-Missions, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. David currently serves as Finance and Operations Manager, while Ruth serves as Marketing and Communications Coordinator and Children’s Ministry Coordinator.

Married in September 1993, David and Ruth met at their alma mater, Cedarville University, and graduated in June of that year. God has blessed them with two daughters, Celeste and Amber, who enjoyed growing up in Romania and being involved in ministry.
