Dawn and I have been church planting in Brazil since 1997. Previous to missionary service we were active members of First Baptist Church of Lake Orion in Michigan. We came to saving faith at First Baptist Church and we raised our three daughters there.
It was during a message by missionary Dwayne King that I felt the call to full time service. I began Bible college training for the ministry in 1984 and graduated from William Tyndale College in 1990 with a degree in pastoral studies.
We joined Baptist Mid-Mission in 1993 and began deputation for Brazil in 1995. Our family left for language training in São Paulo in 1997. Since then we have have been privileged to plant three churches. Dawn and I are currently in that third work which was started in 2007 by Alexandre Ferreira a young man who accepted Christ at our first work Igreja Batista Calvário in Sorocaba. Our three girls and their families live in the States.
