Great Vision, Greater God!

I have always been amazed by the impossibility of Nehemiah’s request—permission to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, guarantee of safe travel, and for the king to pay all the bills! But Nehemiah had spent months praying, and God had emboldened his request. After all, it wasn’t really the king who would meet the need. It was the Lord who would utilize a human ruler’s resources. Nehemiah envisioned something great—rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. He served a far greater God. 

It has been incredible to watch God at work this past year, especially as we prayed, planned, and worked to open new mission fields. Out of the seventeen fields we set our sights on, fourteen have an evangelical Christian population of less than one percent. Most have very few missionaries. Twelve of the seventeen are Creative Access, meaning that missionaries must serve with extreme caution and great creativity. After identifying the seventeen fields, we prayed more earnestly that the Lord would burden His servants to join us. God has answered that prayer!

In the articles ahead, you get to meet those answers to prayer. Some of their names are changed and their faces not shown, but they are all choice servants who are following God’s call to hard places to do great gospel work for our great God. Praise God for them. Our vision for souls is a great vision. Our God is far greater!
