All of life—experiences gained, skills learned, relationships started—is God’s tool to accomplish His purposes. Imagine if a trained EMT didn’t embrace the opportunity to save someone’s life. On the other hand, when we think of the advance of the gospel and see how God uses so many people with such diverse backgrounds, imagine if those individuals chose to limit the use of their time and abilities strictly to their life on this earth. Sure, they would enjoy a comfortable existence here, but will their lives be remembered past their memorial service?
