When Jesus gave the Great Commission, the command was open-ended. Starting locally, the gospel was to be amplified like waves pulsing outward until they reached the ends of the earth. But in 2,000 years, we still have not reached that ending point. Worldwide, pockets of people remain untouched or underreached by the gospel, and every new generation must be reached anew.
After more than 100 years of ministry, BMM missionary efforts have established spiritual beachheads in all six populated continents. Yet we know there is much more work to be done. In the coming year, BMM will identify at least five new fields or ministries. From there, we will develop strategies to open those fields and mobilize workers.
The name of this magazine, Advance, convey’s BMM’s zeal to always move the gospel forward. In the next article, read about BMM’s Bible translation society, Bibles International, and their work in reaching new people groups with the Scriptures.
Easily accessible areas of the world were the first to receive Bibles. Now Bible translators have to reach further into the uttermost parts of the earth. And as they do, ministry expands even farther.
Through BMM's Global Impact Fund, you can help us enlist more missionaries, equip them for the Great Commission, and expand gospel outreach to more places and people.
