BMM’s vision for expanding the gospel’s reach and impact

It was a classic story told by the late businessman and educator Stephen Covey. A man carefully put a dozen fist-sized rocks into a large jar. He then asked a group of business students, “Is the jar full?” Although they said yes, the man then poured gravel around the rocks. And then sand, and after that, water. More items could fit into the jar than the students realized, but the exercise was not a lesson about busyness (that they could fit even more things into their workload). It was a lesson about priorities. If the big rocks (highest priorities) hadn’t gone in first, there wouldn’t have been room to fit them in. The gravel, sand, and water (lesser priorities) would have crowded out the higher priorities.

In the past year, BMM leaders have been identifying our “Big Rocks”—our top priorities. By keeping these priorities forefront, we ensure that the most critical missions objectives succeed. To accomplish this, we’ve developed a new strategic vision called AMPLIFY. It’s designed to strengthen missions and propel the gospel farther into our world.

In the next four years, we’ll focus on three growth segments: Enlist | Equip | Expand. We start by enlisting more workers. Then we better equip new and current workers, and we expand outreach into new territories. Come along with us as we introduce the AMPLIFY vision.
