Our FirstLook program provides college students with the opportunity to visit and live with missionaries on the field for up to 6 weeks, with the express purpose of exposing them to the day-to-day life of a missionary. Many have found this program helpful in determining God's will for their lives.

FirstLook Requirements:

1. Member of an independent Baptist church
2. An openness to the leading of the Lord regarding missionary service
3. Two references from persons who can attest to character and fitness for missionary service  (One of these references should be the pastor of home church.)
4. Submission of the proper application
5. Proper legal documentation and willingness to receive the necessary immunizations required for the country you will visit
6. Proof of medical insurance that will cover you outside (if applicable) the United States

If you have an interest in a specific ministry or part of the world that is not listed, please contact Rev. Steve Fulks. We may be able to arrange an opportunity to meet your interest.

Applications need to be in the BMM Home Office by March 1.

The Study Abroad program

Baptist Mid-Missions and Central Baptist Seminary of Virginia Beach have created the Study Abroad program for college seniors and graduate students interested in church planting overseas. This four-week summer course held in Europe combines academics with on-field church planting experience taught by veteran missionaries. To learn more about the program, visit the Study Abroad website or contact Rev. Vernon Rosenau at vrosenau@bmm.org.
