The Application Process
The application process itself is divided into various stages. Once the paperwork in each stage has been received and approved, the next set of forms is sent to the applicant. Here is a description of the different stages:
1. Completion of the First Steps Survey and writing of an Autobiographical Sketch following an outline provided by BMM
2. Submission of the Formal Application and Medical Questionnaire
3. Completion of the Doctrinal Questionnaire
4. Interview with members of BMM’s General Council in which the applicant shares his or her call to missionary service and defends his or her doctrinal position
When these steps have been completed and the applicant is given approval by the General Council, an invitation is extended to attend BMM’s annual Candidate Seminar, which is held each July.
