giving non-cash gifts
Not all gifts made to Baptist Mid-Missions are in the form of cash. A donor may donate appreciated assets (stocks, bonds, mutual funds), real estate, tangible property, artwork, literature and books, automobiles, or other non-cash items of worth. There may be tax incentives in the types and timing of non-cash gifts. The IRS rules that govern the receiving and receipting of non-cash items can be complex. Please contact BMM before making a non-cash gift to avoid making a costly error.
