What are the requirements for service with Baptist Mid-Missions?
Baptist Mid-Missions appoints personnel commissioned by their local churches and affirmed by BMM's General Council to be in doctrinal agreement with our Articles of Faith and sufficiently prepared for the field and ministry to which they feel called.
Preparation for missionary service is three-pronged and includes education sufficient to perform ministry proficiently, ministry experience that demonstrates capability to serve effectively, and evidence of cultural awareness necessary to adjust to a different cultural setting. Each of these areas is considered individually in our application process.
The most important training is of the heart. Missionaries must have a servant’s heart, a shepherd’s heart, a soul-winner’s heart, and a surrendered heart.
