How is Baptist Mid-Missions' governance organized?
We are an independent Baptist, fundamentalist faith mission agency. Our governance comes from a General Council of consecrated Baptist pastors and laymen who set policies, make strategic operational decisions, examine candidates who present themselves for full-time service, and authorize appointment of missionaries and administrative personnel.
On each of our organized mission fields, business is carried on by a Field Council composed of all the missionaries on the field, functioning through their elected president and executive committee. Self-government on the field, within the broad general limits laid down by the General Council and subject to its direction, is basic with Baptist Mid-Missions.
