prayer requests september 2011
Argentina: Please pray with Andrew and Romina Self as they search for property in the city of Buenos Aires, where they intend to plant a new church.
Australia: Rob and Jackie Ernst are involved in being a support to the Australian pastors’ wives that are working in ministries started by BMM. They meet monthly to share prayer requests and struggles. The Ernsts recently had the wives and their husbands over to their house for a barbeque and had a wonderful time of fellowship. Pray for Rob and Jackie as they try to help these men and women as they seek to serve God.
Bibles International—India and Myanmar: Sana and Nancy Singh ask prayer as the Bualkhaw and Zotung New Testaments are being formatted. Please pray for Rev. Don Block and Sashanka Saha as they do the formatting, and pray for the translation teams as they proofread before the printing. A double dedication for these two New Testaments is planned for December in Myanmar. The Inpui New Testament is also being formatted in India. Praise the Lord for the good progress in the translation ministry.
Campus Bible Fellowship International: Be in prayer for our many Campus Bible Fellowship chapters as they prepare to kick off a new school year. One of the ministries many groups hold this time of year is Stuff for Students. Mary Amesbury works in the Cleveland, Ohio, area and explains that they will be using this as an outreach to new international graduate students at Case Western Reserve University. All summer Mary collected donations of used furniture and housewares from individuals. Then on Saturday, August 27, she invited the students to select items for their apartments. There was a presentation of the gospel and also opportunities for the helpers and delivery people to initiate conversations about the Lord. Pray for God’s blessings on the follow-up.
France: A small mission church in Rouen is without a pastor. The church members will be voting at the end of September regarding Mike and Elva Farrell setting among them as their missionary-pastor. Please pray for this big decision in the life of this small church.
Germany: Reinhold Lorch, a graduate of Breckersfeld Bibelschule, did well at his ordination council. Lomax and Linda Skinner note that he was nervous at the start but did a fine job defending his doctrinal statement. The council recommended that the church in Munich ordain Reinhold into the ministry as their pastor. The actual organization of this church and Reinhold’s ordination will be held September 18. Please be in prayer for this very special event.
Ivory Coast: Steve and Gayle King are ready to return to Ivory Coast. They had been praying for a calm Independence Day (August 7) as a good sign that the people are satisfied with the current government and that it is safe to return. Please pray that the Kings will be able to return to their ministry soon.
