prayer requests april 2011
Campus Bible Fellowship International, Colorado: Tom and Nancy Miller, who are far from the effects of Japan’s earthquake, still had opportunity to share the gospel with Japanese people. A Japanese couple has attended their church. They heard the gospel in the Miller home but had shown no interest. This past Friday, the day of the earthquake, the wife attended the Millers’ English class and was visibly shaken. She told them her family was okay but her father’s house had been destroyed. They asked her to let them know if there’s any way they can help. Pray that this family will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Dominican Republic: Heidi Van Dyke requests prayer for the health of Pastor Amos Caceres. In his absence, the church continues on with capable leadership.
Japan: Pray for our missionaries in Japan: Joyce Oshiro, Joe and Noney Mita, Nobby and Bev Tajima, and David and Melody Yoshida, who are all still living and working in Japan, despite the difficult conditions. They are struggling with blackouts and shortages of food and fuel. Pray that even though they are struggling themselves, they will be able to share the gospel as people are more spiritually open now. Praise the Lord that Rick and Becky Enterline were in the US on furlough when the earthquake and tsunami hit. Pray for their congregation in Iwaki.
